The documentary film, awarded in 1956 with the German Film Award (silver film ribbon), shows the lively life at the Oktoberfest, with an ironically charming look commentated by Just Scheu. Shown are old rides like u. a. Ship swings, the toboggan (a slide with a rise by conveyor belt, of which only very few exist today) or the "rotating roller" and gives an insight into the joie de vivre and the celebration of that time.
