Fresh snow in summer - in Norway's tundras and plateaus a piece of the ice age has been preserved until today. Massive glaciers carved the land long ago, planing mountains and carving deep fjords out of the rock. On long winter nights, auroras dance in the sky and bathe the landscape in mysterious light. - The documentary follows a herd of musk oxen, following the animals as they migrate, mate and raise their young, and during their impressive rutting battles in autumn. In super slow motion, the enormous forces become visible when two 400 kilo colossi collide with full force and head first. Filmed in HD super slow motion for the first time: Courtship of the horned grebe, raising of young and hunting of the barred owl.
