Françoise Hardy: Tant de belles choses

Biography/Music, France 2020

An intimate portrait of a muse of the sixties, Françoise Hardy. A model and a singer, she put the heads of the greatest artists of the time in a spin. In 1966, Françoise Hardy is not only an icon of the yé-yé wave, but also a model in vogue, posing on the front cover of the biggest magazines. Her beauty is driving a number of celebrities crazy. The photographer Jean-Marie Périer courts her madly, with success, and becomes her first love: “It was through looking at his photos that I discovered that I had an attractive physique” admits the singer, who had for a long time been self-conscious. Mick Jagger and David Bowie, two superstars, make declarations of infatuation towards her in interviews: “I was flattered, but more so embarrassed that they were interested in me” recalls the chronically shy singer… In 2004 Francoise Hardy, whose album "Tant de belles choses" came out in November of the same year, tells of her life, her career, of Jacques Dutronc, and of her son Thomas, in this intimate portrait.
